Jillian Walsh is the Clinical Director and Nova Scotia Team Lead at Change Creates Change Eating Disorder Care in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Jillian founded Change Creates Change and has dual credentials as both a Registered Dietitian and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Jillian helps children and youth living with eating disorders and provides support for parents to help their child through eating disorder recovery.
Jillian graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and completed a dietetic internship at Eastern Health in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and completed a practicum at the London Health Sciences Centre Adult Eating Disorders Service. Jillian is experienced in delivering both individual and nutrition counselling and group psychoeducation to children, adolescents and adults and has worked at various eating disorder programs across Canada. She has been working with eating disorders for 8 years. Jillian is experienced in Family-Based Therapy (Maudsley Approach), Emotion-Focused Therapy, The Maudsley Model and more.

What has been the proudest moment in your career?
Being able to create full-time, permanent employment positions for other clinicians and building an amazing team that has a true work/life balance
What do you look forward to each day in your job?
I love waking up and easing into my day at my own pace. I look forward to lighting a candle, doing a short meditation, and creating a priority list for the day before I open on my computer!
